Our impact
Twelve years of steady, practical work. Here is what donations to Anduren Eliyata have achieved — and how we make sure every consignment reaches the right hands.
What one solar light changes
A solar lighting kit is a small device with an outsized effect on a household living without electricity.
Education after dark
Students can study, complete homework and prepare for exams after sunset. Families consistently tell us that grades improve once a child no longer studies by kerosene flame.
Health and safety
Kerosene lamps fill homes with toxic smoke and cause burns and house fires. Solar light removes that danger entirely — clean, cool and safe around children.
Income and savings
Families stop buying kerosene and candles every week, redirecting that money to food and school costs. Parents can also extend income-earning work into the evening.

How we stay accountable
Donors deserve to know exactly where their money goes.
- Distribution records are kept for every consignment of lights, supplies and scholarships sent to Sri Lanka.
- Local verification — trusted community contacts confirm delivery to each household and report back to our committee.
- Annual public reporting — our financial statements and activity reports are lodged with the ACNC every year and published on the Charity Register.
- Volunteer-run — no paid fundraising or head office; donations fund goods and delivery, not administration.
- Twelve-year track record — continuous registered operation since October 2014.
